The Corporative Assembly

The highest hierarchy level is the Corporative Assembly, which is formed by 26 mayors of the area. Year by year, they meet to approve the Annual Report of General Management, and choose four mayors (who represent the Assembly in the Management Council for a year) and the Fiscal Inspector.

The Management Council

It is conformed by 11 persons:

The Governor of Antioquia or his delegate (who is the Council President), one representative of the Presidency of the Republic, one representative of the Ministry of Environment, four mayors of the area, two representatives of environmentalist MGOs and two representatives of regional private sector.

Their functions are: choosing the General Manager of the Corporation for three years period, knowing the Manager's reports monthly, and approving or disapproving different agreement projects that are showed by the General Manager.

The General Manager

Mow it is Oscar A. Alvarez Gómez. Me was elected for the 2004-2006 period. Me is the Corporation's Legal Representative and its Executive Chief Officer. Me must lead, coordinate, and regulate the Entity's activities. Also, his task is to carry out the Management Council's decisions and agreements, and make others carry out them too.
